My FBP picked up Dixie Belle first. It's so amazing to watch him with her. His facial expressions soften immediately, and he just becomes the most amazing loving parent.
The puppies at this point have not opened their eyes. So they just wander around this little kiddie pool going belly up like a turtle that's been tipped over, because they haven't figured out how to walk yet. Isn't she beautiful?
Get a look at my FBP's face... I think he might be in love.
Then it was my turn to hold lil' Dixie...
And Kam started saying something... "Dixie is opening her eyes! She wants to meet you!" And there was our sign that Dixie wanted to be with us. I almost started crying!
I said, "Hello lil' Dixie Belle"! None of the other puppies have opened their eyes. ONLY Dixie! This was such an amazing moment for me to see life blooming in my hands!
Say hello to everybody Dixie! I think she's saying, "Hey Y'all" in this photo! ;)
I sat on the floor for almost three hours playing with Dixie, her siblings, Momma Hope, Big Daddy Bennie, and their sister from another mister Nellie. It was the most fun Frenchie party!
Dixie is just a lil' love bug, and you don't want to put her down. But you can tell when it's time because she will try to start nursing on your finger. Sooooo cute...

I kinda had a bad day, but as soon as I saw Dixie open her eyes for the first time when I held her, all of that just melted away.
Big props to Momma Hope for letting us hold her babies! She was so patient with us last night.

John is going to make such a good daddy.
Dixie Belle is perfect, and we get to bring her home in about 7 more weeks. But Kam has invited us to come back and play with Dixie before then! And you know we can't stay away.
Those perfect lil' blue eyes! Hi Dixie Belle! I'm not sure which one this is, but look at the lil' sausage! Makes you just wanna rub that belly!
Now to get all the things we need for Dixie Belle. We are not even sure what all those things are, but Kam has assured us that she will hold our hands as we venture into being new parents. We are so fortunate to have Kam and her family to help guide us. We are feeling so blessed!
