Last September I shared with you that I had lost 20 lbs. in three months. It's really simple how I did it. I stopped drinking alcohol AND anything with sugar in it. I eat healthy, exercise, and of course I stomp my boots on the hardwoods at Bourbon Jacks Honkytonk Grill in Kent every Friday!
Here is the picture I posted in September showing my progress. On the left is around April/ May of 2013. The picture on the left was taken with Cassadee Pope who is a very sweet person, BUT mega mega skinny. So I felt like a tub next her, and I simply winced when I was given this picture of us together because of how I look in it. The picture on the right is me without the 20 extra pounds!
I still wanted to lose another 10 lbs to obtain my goal weight. But after seeing the before and after in this picture, I was determined to do it.
Recently I discovered that without wearing myself out about it, I've lost another 7 lbs. That makes 27 lbs. total weight loss since last April/ May. I think you can see a difference with this pic.
I've gone from not fitting into my size 10 jeans (and keep in mind I'm only 5'3") to fitting into a size 7. Now the size 7 is too big!
Size 6 feels right for my height and frame to me. I'm comfortable in all of my clothes, and I feel good!
Are you asking...how did you do it?
Honestly?
I'm still not drinking alcohol. I stopped drinking completely, and I started feeling different. The changes in my body were so dramatic! I've tried for years to accomplish significant weight loss, and I was never this successful. But I didn't want to believe that cutting out alcohol could yield these kinds of results. Now I'm a true believer! I can feel a total body upgrade! My skin looks healthier and younger, plus I'm bursting with energy!
Some have said to me, "don't lose any more weight". But I haven't meant to purposely lose weight. I guess my metabolism is pretty high, but I was stunting it with alcohol. I'm not saying I will never drink again, but why take the risk when I'm enjoying a whole new me, right?
I would love to hear about your weight loss stories and how you accomplished your goals. Leave me a message here on my blog, or write to me on Facebook.

Official 12th Man Line Dance
The last couple of weeks have been something out of a fairy tale book if you are a Seahawks football fan! First we won the NFC Championship, THEN we not only won the Super Bowl...we flippin' destroyed the Denver Broncos!
It's been a lot of fun riding the 12th Man fan wave too! I love it when people get fired up about football! I'm from the south, so it don't take much for me to go all out. My fiance bought me a Seahawk jersey for Christmas, and there's only been a handful of days since then that I haven't worn it!
About six week before the Super Bowl, I found a song called "Get Your Hawk On". It's all about the 12th Man Seahawk fan, and I thought it would be fun to choreograph a line dance to go with it!
Once I posted this on social networking, it went viral. KOMO News in Seattle picked it up as well as KREM in Spokane.
Have you seen it? Here's the Official 12th Man Line Dance!
That video has close to 30,000 views on Youtube! We decided to do a Super Bowl Edition.
Since this dance went viral, I've been contacted by line dance instructors across the state wanting to show their dancers the 12th Man Line Dance!
Show it to your friends, family, kids, or whoever wants to be Loud & Proud as a 12th Man! It's is our Official dance!
Hawk On Y'all!
