Are YOU on Instagram?

Just when you've got the hang of one social media channel, another one pops up.  But I say it's good to check em' out and be aware, because today's new social channel could be tomorrow's social giant!  Nope, social media is not going away anytime soon, and it's only going to get bigger and more present.  

One of the easiest to use and fastest emerging social channels is Instagram!  You may already have it on your phone.  If not, go to your App store and download it.  It's FREE!  Facebook owns Instagram, and it makes your life uploading photos and videos to Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and Flickr SUPER DUPER easy!  

Here's how it works:  

Snap a pic on your phone.  Now pull up your Instagram app. Choose the picture you just snapped.  At the bottom of Instagram there are filter choices!  This is how people make themselves or whatever they are eating (HA!) look uuuuh-mazing!  You can make it pop with color using the "Mayfair" filter, or turn the entire thing black and white!  

Press next at the top of the screen, then type whatever text you want to go with the photo.  At the bottom of that screen, Instagram will ask you where all you want this photo to land. You can send it to Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Flickr, foursquare ALL at the same time!  It makes posting pics to Facebook REALLY easy!  

So for instance you can take a dark photo and lighten it up with the "Rise" filter like this one: 

You can also make things really stand out with the Lo-Fi filter like this: 

It turns even the most ordinary snapper of pictures into a genius photographer!

Find the filter that evens out your skin tones...make yourself look like a total rock star!!
